To catch up on some recent Carnivals of Personal Finance and March Madness

This week’s edition is at The Sun’s Financial Diary. One of the articles that I liked was Do You Budget for Unexpected Expenses? As I have said before, we need to estimate for repairs and maintenance for the upcoming year or we will always be stressed out playing catch up trying to find the money when things break down.

Last week’s edition was at Mapgirl’s Fiscal Challenge. I liked Wise Bread’s article on How to survive (and thrive!) in a job you hate. I like the advice because we tend to focus on what we do not like about a situation instead of what we do like about it.

Also, checkout FMF March Madness Tournament this weekend. Free Money Finance has been running a best blog contest which started out at 128 blogs (4 articles per blogger) that have been wittled down to 16 of the best articles which he will post Friday. Two of my blogs have made it to the Sweet 16: Ask for a Pay Raise Discussion Instead of Demanding a Raise and Tips for Having a Successful Budget. You can vote for your favorite blog articles over the weekend.

So if you are looking for additional reading this weekend, check out some of the articles in Carnivals or FMF tournament.
